Ask For What You Want! The Ninja Power of a “Call to Action”
A great infographic, 5 minute video or Facebook graphic (that took you 2 hours to create) will never produce income inside of your business if you stop short of giving the customer a “Call to Action”.
Keep reading below to learn how different types of Calls to Action will incentivize your customer, and how to incorporate them into your daily blog, social media, and email content.
Bottom line, if you want people to buy your products you have to ask for what you want (and you want a sale right?)
It is just this simple. But over the thousands of people I have worked with, this is undoubtedly the toughest hurdle to overcome. We make great content, and beautiful images, but fall short when it comes to actually giving people a Call to Action to buy our products.
So what is A Call to Action?
A Call to Action is a simple statement giving your audience the next step you want them to take

Nothing that is super fancy, or verbose, just you telling them what they should be doing next.
We live in such a fast paced world, with a million images flying by our faces, that we need something to get our attention. This is where your powerful Ninja style Call to Action comes into play.
The bottom line is that no matter how obvious you think your efforts are, you will not see an increase in sales and income without giving a clear Call to Action.

What is the Magic word inside of a Call to Action?
Did you notice how all the examples above told them to Click, or Visit, and then the magical word “Now”…
If people do not get the sense of urgency from your Call to Action, then they automatically assume that they can buy from you whenever they want. You need to give them a reason to purchase right now. If they have an interest in you (obviously they do or they would not be reading your content), then it is your job to add a sense of urgency, ‘now’ ‘supplies limited’ ‘discount available for 3 days’. Scarcity tactics are a great incentive to do it now and not later, when they will most likely forget!
How to Ask for What You Want: Writing your Call to Action
As I write this article, I cannot think of a single time I have not included a Call to Action in my content. Even if I am posting a funny image of my children on my Instagram page, I am still giving a quick Call to Action to “Click the Link in my Bio for a Free Home Business Toolkit.” Now why on earth would I do this? The reason is simple, tons of people take notice of funny photos. Especially in this overrun advertising world. So I know that my goofy photo is going to get more interaction, it might be my only chance to give my Call to Action to someone who has otherwise ignored my business postings.
Intrigued how to do this for yourself? Great! Follow this guide below:
- Figure out why you’re doing what you do (your purpose). Why are you posting on social media? Shooting a quick video? Writing content for your blog? Is it to generate an email lead, make a sale, or introduce your brand?
- Brainstorm your purpose onto a piece of paper or electronic notebook
- This is your Call to Action! Just that simple. If you are collecting leads, tell them to “Click the Link, enter their email and get their Freebie”. This is just an example, but whatever you want your audience to do (the purpose for your action) then make sure that you tell them!
